Satsuriku no Jango: Franco Il Nero. At first I wasn’t overly sure whether to get this figure or not, as when I was originally looking at the Satsuriku no Jango Figures it didn’t take too much of a thought before I had ordered both the Donne Anonime & Lily Salvatana, but the Franco il Nero Figure didn’t immediately inspire me to buy, mainly because the pictures I saw didn’t really do it justice.
The figures backward-diving pose with revolver drawn, cocked and ready to fire looks great, it’s only supported by a small piece of plastic that goes from her back to a hole in the piece of wall (as seen on one of the pictures). The wall by the way, is very high quality, not sure what it is made from but it appears to be made up on individually sculpted bricks, the bullit holes and general detailing of it just adds to the overall look of the figure.
She has a very pretty face which is another reason why I am realy pleased with this figure, she’s giving a wink and got a very happy expression on her face, obviously enjoying her gun battle. Must say with the happy/cheeky smile on her face and her leg stuck up in the air with her panties plainy the highlight, well I say highlight, but plainly you can’t help but notice her brilliantly white panties.
The overall detail on this figure is great, from her flowing hair to the tassels and zip on her coat, and of course her pretty face!

As previously mentioned briefly by Tibul, in his post mainly regarding the ninja Scrolls live action movie.
There has been an update on the Dragonball (live-action) Movie, the main actors have been announced, and who will play which roll in the upcoming movie. It may be an entertaining movie when it’s finally released, but right now I don’t think I will be going to the cinema to see it. There’s just something about live-action anime adaptations that just don’t really spark much interest from me, maybe because they usually just butcher the original show? Or maybe the fact that some or even most of the stuff that makes anime’s so great is impossible for a human being to do without using any kind of CG, and once you start with CG well just watch a CG anime, there are enough good CG anime shows out there.

My review of the new Ghibli film Tales From Earthsea has been put on hold for the time being as the DVD was rented from lovefilm and turned out to be a really bad quality disk was lucky if we had sound for more then 15 mins, so will do the review once I have purchased the DVD from what I did see of it I thought it was another example of how great Ghibli films can be.

Only just announced the greenlight given for the Lucky Star OVA production the other day, and now the Lucky Star OVA has been given a general release date of this summer. A little vauge, yes, but at least now we have some idea on when to expect it being released.
Although it’s all well and good waiting for it to be released, but we don’t know if Bandai is even thinking of licencing it, so I suppose it will all go on how popular it turns out to be when it’s finaly released.

With last years Luky Star TV series only just being release in the US on the 6th May 2008. It has been announced that an OVA adaptation of Kagami Yoshimizu’s Lucky Star, school slice-of-life manga has been greenlit for production in Japan.
The TV series followed the lives of several school girls attending a Japanese high school, with a very loose humor tone they start their first year in high school moving on through to their second and third year. We can only assume that the OVA will follow a similar story path to the TV series.

Reports over at ICv2 say that there is a movie by the name of Ninja Assassin they say the names of the characters bear a striking resemblance to characters from Ninja Scrolls which the Wachowskis who made speed racer another recent anime based movie are the ones making Ninja Assassin, so from the sounds of it it seems likely especially with other anime to movie’s being made recently i.e. Akira and Dragon Ball Z.
Lets just hope they can pull this one off as i really do think it would transfer well to a live action movie unlike some others i.e. Dragon Ball Z

Following up to my previous post, announcing the movie. The Japanese website has been launched and there is a promotional video on there aswell.
Really looking forward to this movie, if it promises to be half as good as the TV series then I am just hoping it gets licenced quickly after it’s Japanese theatrical release on 6th September 2008.

Around the internet today, I came across some interesting things and a suprising one too. (you may already know about them or have seen them?).
RightStuf have licensed Aria. A futuristic “slice of life” show focusing on Akari Mizunashi, who is a gondolier in training and also an employee of Aria Company in the watery city of Neo Venezia. Not seen any of this show myself, but it seems to have a solid following.
RightStuf’s official site for Aria can be found here.
Three letters should sum it up for most people, “DBZ“. If you had given up hoping for more Dragon Ball Z action, then you may be pleasantly surprised by this. It mentions all “new anime specials for Dragon Ball” which means well, we’ll have some new all new Dragon Ball to watch this autumn.
On the Figures front, I found myself stumbling upon quite an unusual “item”
while checking out release dates on my pre-ordered Queens Blade Figures.
I had seen a picture of it before but never actually saw it for sale, untill now that is. Probably Not work friendly? (Haha) Feast your eyes on this, normal? version!
Strangely there are three versions, Ver. two & three… I find the fact they call one version normal, brilliant.
